Hi! My name is Aria

It has occurred to me that I never really wrote a formal introductory post on this blog. I remember wanting to write this down as soon as got Notes on Thursdays up and running, but I probably forgot or got too preoccupied with other things. And there goes my first “about me”: I’m really bad with my priorities.

I don’t want to begin this introduction with something off-putting (although I may already have), so I’m going to start with my name. My name is Aria. I wish I could say my parents were cool enough to have named me after Arya from A Song of Ice and Fire, but I am saddened to report that there is no awesome GoT reference to my name. But my parents are cool. Really! No kidding!  (This is not a sponsored post.)

I am currently in law school, and I will talk about how I got into this in a separate post. I still need to recover from the torture that was my final exams, which I took just a week back. My life in law school is simply just that—constant torture, constant self-doubt, but rewarding nonetheless.

Blogging came into my life when I was 13. At that time I was still on Blogspot and writing a daily account of my life, the movies I saw, and the boys I had a crush on. The latter was the subject of very few posts because I rarely developed crushes in school. I’ve only ever been devoted to one man in a long time: Chris Evans. Yes, Captain America Chris Evans. But I really prefer him as indie movie Chris Evans or sweater-loving dork Chris Evans.

Don’t ask me why I like Chris Evans. I will fight you if you argue with me, the same way I will fight with anyone who doesn’t think Lion King is one of the best movies of all time and Simba and Nala is one of the best love stories of all time and Can You Feel the Love Tonight is one of the best soundtracks of all time. I am protective of my biases and favorites by the way, if that hasn’t been made clear yet.

Going back to blogging after that brief digression, I stopped blogging when college hit me like a big yellow school bus and only returned (officially) recently.  Notes on Thursday is my home on the internet after such a long time of being away. I can’t really put myself and my blog into any specific category because I would prefer to be as unique as can be. I can’t make any promises here, but I hope you tag along with me in this journey. I’m a really shy person, so please forgive me if I don’t make a lot of visual appearances on this blog.

Another thing that you should know about me is that I sometimes find it difficult to finish a single write-up properly so this post might end in a sudden, screeching halt.

    1. I agree. I always find myself starting back at one and completing it. It took me a while (and a couple of blogs) before deciding to make Notes on Thursdays my permanent home.

  1. Oops, I haven’t done a intro post! Thank you for the reminder!

I really like your style of writing, it’s easy to read and quirky 🙂

  2. Glad you came back to blogging! Very interesting that you’re in law school – so so curious about that! I’m studying Criminal Justice, and I feel it links into law with certain aspects, I can’t imagine how challenging law can be. I commend you for that! Congrats and wish you the best of luck through schooling AND with blogging! x
